Frequently Asked Questions

We’ve compiled answers to some frequently asked questions for you.

We partner with nonprofits of all sizes, from small teams to large, multi-site organizations. Examples include initiatives in areas such as affordable housing, financial literacy, mental health care, child welfare, family preservation, youth empowerment, workforce development, refugee and immigrant services, anti-human trafficking, faith-based programs, and more.

All contracts include: strategic grant planning, targeted foundation research, relationship cultivation guidance, proposal development and writing, and post-award reporting requirements.

Our pricing is structured as a 12-month contract. Developing a strong grant program and increasing grant award success takes time and requires consistent attention. This model allows Ink & Impact to become deeply integrated with your team, aligning with your programs and goals to maximize grant success.

Monthly retainers are based on the number of proposals delivered over 12 months, with options of 15, 20, or 25 proposals per year. (See pricing structure below.)

To ensure readiness for grant success, foundations typically require that organizations:

  1. Hold 501(c)(3) status for at least two years
  2. Have an established and active board of directors
  3. Can effectively track and report program outcomes
  4. Provide inclusive services to clients without discrimination based on ability, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, ethnicity, religion, or other protected characteristics

Our expertise lies in securing private grant funding, including grants from private, corporate, and community foundations of all sizes. While we do not offer services for federal grant proposals, we do support select public local and state grant opportunities.

Our focus is on relational, community-based philanthropy to build meaningful connections and secure invitation-only opportunities with funders who align with your mission.

No. This goes against the Grant Professional Code of Ethics, as outlined by the Grant Professionals Association. This association is committed to serving the greater public good by practicing the highest ethical and professional standards. As a member, I abide by the compensation code of ethics, which says: “Members shall not accept or pay a finder’s fee, commission, or percentage compensation based on grants and shall take care to discourage organizations from making such payments.”

Due to concerns about unauthorized sharing of client-privileged information across AI platforms, Ink & Impact only utilizes a paid Grammarly subscription to correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation and improve the readability of grant proposal drafts. Grammarly is a closed-source AI writing assistant. At Ink & Impact, we do not create proposal prompts using AI. Instead, it is used as a tool for quality assessment after writing prompts have been developed.
